Understanding How Dental Insurance Works
Most dental insurance plans are primarily designed to help patients afford services like checkups and cleanings, but they also offer benefits to cover more complex treatments like extractions and implants. Our team can help a patient figure out the best way to maximize their dental benefits at a consultation.
What Your Dental Insurance Plan Covers
For most plans, extractions are considered advanced restorative care and they are usually covered at about 50%. However, all dental insurance plans are different and their percentage covered per treatment will differ from plan to plan.
When it comes to dental implants, this is where coverage gets a little more temperamental.

Some plans offer coverage for the surgical placement of an implant, and some do not. Some plans will cover the extraction or the crown, and some do not. However, almost all will offer benefits for the new teeth, like the crown or denture. The best thing to do is talk to your insurance provider about your benefits so you can get specific answers for particular treatments. Fortunately, we’re able to use dental insurance to offset the cost of care. We also provide a dedicated team to navigate you through this tough topic. Never lose sleep over your dental insurance questions and claims, our team will fight to maximize your benefits!
We Accept In-Network PPO Plans & Welcome Out-of-Network PPO Providers
As an in-network provider with many PPO dental insurance companies, this simply means we have a contract with the company to offer our services for a discounted rate, which the company then partially covers. This means when you visit an in-network oral surgeon, you actually save money in two different ways!

However, we’re also happy to accept out-of-network PPO plans as well, and you’ll probably be surprised by how much you can save with us.
